Trip optionsThere is no predefined program, I am not a tour operator. The program is up to you and can be modified during the day. Technical or easy
If you have a hybrid bike or have someone in the group who is trying MTB for the first time there is no problem to begin with easier tracks and see. You want technical stuff with steep descents on the rocks with fords as bonus? There are lots of them and a full suspension 100-120mm will be just perfect. But up to 350m altitude delta: we are not in the Alps. Same with enduro: this is not the typical style here although there are some mountain areas in the Czech Republic where it would match. Hilly of flat
In the Czech Republic hilly means going up and down all the time with 10-20% slopes that have 150-350m altitude delta. There are also 3 nice rivers around Prague and we can just follow them easily. No hills for sure. Long or shortIn case you have only a few hours and still want to enjoy a nice ride, let's go for the singletracks in Prokopské údolí (Prokop's gorge) 5km South from the centre with a breathtaking view over Prague. If you have half a day, the area of Točná 10km from the center will amaze you. In fact you can spend a day there never riding the same challenging path. My preferred way is a full day circuit with 100+ km and 3000+ m uphill. Of course up to the group's mood and weather. Competition (XCM or ½XCM)Since I also compete in various XCM open races, it's not a problem to have you participate. Often races take place on Saturdays, sometimes on Sundays and there are lots of them around. They are all open to public and the atmosphear is quite cool. The fees are around 500Kč (20€). If you have never done a cross country marathon this would be a perfect opportunity. Check the calendar on the Czech leading MTB website.
