The playgroundCzech Republic is one big playground for bikers. There are almost no limitations of where you can ride and the countryside offers easy to mid-difficult terrain in most locations. Legal access to paths and tracks Legaly you can ride almost everywhere unless it is a national park or a private area delimited by a fence. This freedom has several reasons: 1) Czechs have a long history of hiking, 2) most of the woods still belong to the state and 3) believe me or not, it has been quite popular to collect mushrooms and forest fruits in an extent that it is a right protected by law.
Tracks everywhereThe Czech Republic has a very high density of villages, towns and local infrastructure. You'll notice that already from the plane. Together with the fact that Czechs have been mad with hiking and nature in general, there are singletracks almost everywhere. Many of the tracks will be marked thanks to the national-wide organisation KČT. Because the terrain is not extremely wild in most cases all the hiking tracks can be ridden provided that you have some basic technical skills.
